Ok, here's the deal: I have a late model black, 19 inch CRT monitor that works fine. I've tried to give it away, with no takers. It's large and heavy, so it's not easy to dispose of. So, I'm offering $10 to whoever's willing to pick it up from my downtown Ottawa apartment. The only thing I must request is that whoever takes it must promise to either keep it or dispose of it properly (please don't do something like leaving it in the lobby of my building).

Don't you have a local re-use/Goodwill/Salvation Army/Value Village/etc that you can drop it off too? That way they can take care of selling it and that money will go to charity. If not, my local dump takes up to 5 electronic/computer items for free, so maybe check that too.
