Last time I was there, I remember different dumpsters for wood, metal, cardboard (I think) and all other garbage.

just get three boxes, recycle, donate and toss.

Put a garbage bag in the donate box, fill it and then put it in your car for drop off next time you pass the Salvation Army or thrift shop.

Another garbage bag into the toss box, fill it, tie it and put it out with your garbage.

The rest is easy, either use it, give it away to someone you know can use it or add it to your next donate box/have a yard sale and turn it into cash!

It really doesn't take much time, I suggest doing it in 15 minute spirts, take a short break and do another 15 minutes.

Go room by room or put it all in one room and move in a clockwise
direction.

I've almost tossed or donated most of our 'stuff', in preparation for moving, it's a real pain but necessary.

Now I need to have a huge yard sale to make a few bucks and put the rest on Craigslist or Kijiji, as it is more valuable than yard sale stuff.

Once done, I'll be packing, selling up and finding a nice new clutter free home! BIG BONUS for doing all this work!! :)

Remember, if you don't love it, give it a chance to be loved by someone else.

Even at the dump you have to sort it, environmental rules ya know.

Might as well let someone get some use out of it......not intensive work.

You're going to have to pick it up and put it in the car anyway to take it to the dump. Why not have the sorting bins just before the car? That way you sort as you pack the car.
