Unlocking & DVD Ripping LEGAL in US

Today the US government has decided that unlocking your phone to use on any provider is completely legal. Along with this, also making a copy of your video games to check for security/flaws is legal, and ripping your dvd for educational/non-commericial uses is legal as well! Wow, what a massive decision in the right direction!
Atleast the US has got it right...

I was really surprised to read this. With the MPAA and RIAA, I would think the US would be the last country to allow this.
