Ok we heard enough about false prices, bad rebates bad advertising etc...
How about your good experiences with TD? Post it here.
for me:
Order #1: Off Lease Laptop and brand new USR 802.11 PC Card.. It came as described withing 5 business days. I'm happy with it. Free shipping as well since this was over $200.
Order #2: 2 USB Keys (Soyo and Kbyte), and 1 wireless DLink router.
Again, came within 5 business days. Each of these products had a rebate. I sent them in as instructed, was patient, and received all 3 rebates over the span of 6 months. No complaints about that. Rebate made this order a hot deal for me. Also got free shipping since over $200.
Some items i requested for a duplicate receipt and a rep was able t respond to my enquiry within 2 business days.
Ok i'm sure others will be interested to know your HAPPY stories. After all, they wouldn't be in business, or expanded to Canada if they weren't doing well with satisfied customers. :)

#2
Ordered some PNY ram with a rebate, sent out the rebate about 3-4 weeks after sending FS a rebate for LG CDRW... got the TD PNY rebate after a month, which was before I got the FS LG rebate

Order #1 in 2003: 256 MB SoDIMM module ($50-ish), some CD-R's, including one item with a PNY rebate. The rebate cheque arrived a few weeks later...
Order #2 in 2004: three 825VA UPS units, two 4-port KVM's, and a 6-in-1 USB2.0 flash reader. I called a few minutes after placing the order to add two Logitech trackballs, and that change was made with no problems.
All of the items are working great, and the price was lower than any local store.

Bought a projector from TD. No major issues... except for UPS. Buggers left the package at my door ( I was home, ran to the door after like the 2nd ring... dude didn't wait ).

I've placed 4 different orders with TD. All were over $100 and $200 respectively (to get free shipping of course)
On each occasion my order arrived complete, in excellent physical condition, and on time.
On one order I was overchanged ($16.99), but a quick email to a higher-level CSR got me an refund (I didn't have to haggle or argue with anyone to get my refund either -- TD admitted that there was an error on their part and apologized)
Out of 6 total rebates, 4 have arrived, 1 is approved and 1 is in processing.

I got a Chieftech case, Biostar motherboard, Ultra power supply, Ultra RAM, Maxtor HD and Mad Dog CD-RW from deals posted here. I couldn't match the prices locally. All was shipped quickly, for free, and in perfect working order.
They actually shipped me two of the case/MB/power supply but I was nice and returned it.
So far 4 out of 6 rebates arrived and 1 is in processing. I need to track down the last one.

I bought a refurb 22" monitor, it arrived with a crack on it. They sent me a new one pronto, which was very satisfying. (Since most other companies would have wanted me to haggle with UPS for a refund)
Also, all my other orders were well packaged, arrived quickly (even for christmas) and I got all my rebates cheques.

As I have mentioned before, if you've had a bad experience you can email me or send me a PM and we can pass it along and hopefully help it get resolved.

I purchased a digital camera from them 3 months ago. Saved a few hundred dollars over other Canadian etailers. Also bought a memory card at the same time. Sent in the US rebate and received my check 6 weeks later..
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again (if they still had free shipping on large orders)..

Several orders, one or two problems that were all resolved to my satisfaction. However I try to avoid MIRs in general if I can.
edit - One issue though is their hours. They previously advertised 24 contact which initially meant your could call anytime to speak to someone, but eventually meant you could leave a message or send an email. Trying to get an order modified the next business day is impossible. Best to order during business hours.

I agree with everybody... TigerDirect is a great company, very reliable/etc, except for one problem...
SHIPPING. Beware of their shipping costs, they're always extremely high... but you get what you pay for! :)

I had a bad experience with TigerDirect that turned out to become a good one.
I ordered a D-Link router and a Netgear PCI network card from Tigerdirect last winter. What they sent me was a broken router (it was a refurb) and a PCMCIA card instead (my receipt showed item code for a PCI card so don't know how it got screwed up). I called them up and easily got a return authorization for the router (for obvious reasons). They told me they wouldn't return the network card because it was my fault. However they did offer to return it for a re-stocking fee. I decided to try and sell the card on my own in order to save the re-stocking fee. No luck. So I decided to send it back and pay the restocking fee. I got the authorization number and sent it in via CanadaPost with insurance as instructed. To my amazement, Canadapost lost my parcel! It was the middle of christmas so I guess things were hectic for them. So in the end I received a full refund (thanks to the insurance) and didn't end up paying a cent.
Wait, was that a good Tigerdirect experience or a good Canadapost experience?
meh, whatever.

I bought Gateway USB flash drive (16mb) for my sister along with i-rocks 12 in one card reader and 256mb compact flash.
Received everything in a matter of a week.
However, the usb drive appeared to be missing from IT's ORIGINAL PACKAGING!! So, inside of ups parcel, there was a sealed plastic package for the drive, but there was no drive inside! there was an usb extension cable and a strap however.
First I assumed a possibility that the drive was 'hidden' somewhere under the wires. So, I emailed TD about it, they've replyed me in 2 days saying that they'll invistigate an issue and answer in up to 48 hours. After 3 days I've sent them email, and then after another day. Got reply on the fifth or something that it's still under 'invistigaion'. Well, it's being already 19 days from receiving of the order and I still haven't got no reply from them.
I've opened up the plastic box to be sure that there's no key among the wires. I had to do it since that was supposed to be a present for the beginning of the school year. So, I'll just go and buy the key from the store now.. or from hands, offer anyone ;)?
recently I've looked at their website trying to find my 16mb page, there are no more 16mb keys, only 32... scroll down the page and check out the pic. The packaging I've received is exacly as on that picture. THere is no key inside!! The question is, why would they sell something like that??

I don't mean to bring up an old post (didn't check the date so this thread may be very old  ) but you guys should post some reviews are www.resellerratings.com (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller5616.html) if you have had such good experiences. I just ordered some stuff (well over 400$ worth) and I went and checked RR after the fact and was rather worried. tigerdirect.ca has a horrible rating over there but I guess that's because only the people with bad experiences seem to speak out. after reading all your posts I have some faith in my purchase again... hopefully it works out.

Received my rebate for I-Rocks usb card reader a few days ago. Another happy experience. Just a reminder, TD does not look after the rebates so if you guys didn't get it, follow up with the rebate managing company where you sent it in! Not poor TD!
TD is just the innocent middleman selling good products at retail prices! The rebate is beyond their control.
