Much like RFD's upcoming Deal of the Day feature, another site has been offering some pretty good deals on a daily basis for a couple of weeks now.

http://livingsocial.com/deals/how_it_works

It's called LivingSocial and so far, they have offered great deals for services such as restaurants, spas, and photos-to-canvas printing. Many discounts are 50% or more (I purchased a $20 food and drink voucher good at Kensington Burger Bar, here in Toronto, for $10).

You can even view deals for other cities including Vancouver, London England, and a bunch of American locations. So if you are planning a trip, it might benefit you to purchase a deal for your destination.

Just be aware that these deals are only offered for one day, so keep your eye on the "remaining" clock that's counting down the time before availability expires.

Thanks for the link, TinyTank! Wasn't aware of this kind of aggregator service.

I was searching RFD to see if there was a thread on this particular site but didn't find it. I just wanted to see if you were top of things, TinyTank. :)

I've had a terrible time with LivingSocial. I gave them my credit card number at least 3 times. It seems to be saved in the account profile. For some reason this didn't work. No go for the deal.

I asked them to get in touch with me and if I could give the number over the phone. No response.

Now they cheerfully tell me the deal is over and they are sorry for the inconvenience. No attempt to find out what went wrong with the software or why nobody responded to my emails.

I wouldn't mind so much, but it was something I really wanted. I'm sure they could go to the vendor, tell them they screwed up, and get the tickets. But they don't seem to care.

I've had loads of similar deals from Groupon with no problems whatsoever and thought it would work the same way.

I dont really like how some sites (especially livingsocial) does not have a forum or discussion page to talk about questions concerning the deals

I bought from LivingSocial once. They don't seem to be any better or worse than any of the other group deal sites.

I dont really like how some sites (especially livingsocial) does not have a forum or discussion page to talk about questions concerning the dealsI rather doubt it would become a font of positivity and favorable reviews.
