In need of DL DVD's

I usually buy Fuji Film to burn my xbox 360 backups but sadly they arent on sale this week. I usually grab the 15 pack when its on sale for 18$ every month. I need to burn 10 games for saturday and I need discs badly, I just ran out today of my Fuji Film.

I dont want memorex or any crap brand that only works half the time though.

These are on sale for 28. Still a bit pricey for me, Im looking to pay just over a dollar a disc like I do with fuji film. Do any of you know a place that sells these verbatims so I could get them price matched for cheaper? I cant believe best buy doesnt carry them.

If not do any of you know of any other good discs that are on sale that you find work good for xbox 360 backups?

What's the media code for the Fuji disks you like to use? You could try finding another brand of disks with the same media code, hopefully for a lower price.

It won't say anywhere on the wrapper. You can identify the media code by using software. I use Imgburn (freeware) a one of my burning tools. If you want to try Imgburn, download and install the program, insert a blank disc, launch Imgburn, select write files/folders to disc, click on the device tab on the right-hand side, and read the disc info inside the box.

The media code represents the dye formulation used to create the recordable layer.

so apprently fuji film gets their discs from RITEK? But so does memorex, but there are different ones as seen in that post above. He ranked fuji film second tier. They have RITEKS at BEWAWA 25 for 25$ but I dont know the media code for it... there are good riteks and bad riteks.

Also TDK at costco, 50 for 30$ with the same media code. I think I will try these, they are an excellent price.

thanks

Yes, the TDKs from Costco are also s04-66. I've used Ritek-branded DLs from Canada Computers with a very low success rate. I found this strange because both brands have Ritek media codes but the TDKs were awesome while the Riteks were not.
