Heres a cool video (in German) about a house that costs $2.0M. It has a large solar array on the roof, the whole house turns to track the sun!!

The hand rails have a solar thermal collectors to heat water. The roof has a rain collection basin, and the toilet compost the human waste!!!

Wonder what the carbon footprint was to make this house.
The sad fact is that even with the energy offset it will never break even...

Looks like he added 5 times too many expensive solar panels.

On a smart grid he'd get paid for the excess, possibly at really good rates. However it seems wasteful to turn the whole house instead of just the panels...
