DVD Decoder for Windows Media Player

I am trying to play dvd's on Windows Media Player but it says I need a DVD decoder.

I go to the website for WMP and it says I have to pay for it.

Is there any other alternatives? How do I fix this?

Thanks

If you've ever bought a dvd burner for a pc before, it will come with a software disc, PowerDVD, with Nero, EZCD, etc. Install that, reboot and you should be good to go. Or, find someone who has a similar disc and borrow it.
What the H E double hockey sticks have I done now?
