Printer sharing between Windows 7 and XP - problems
Hey guys,
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate on my desktop computer and I have a HP Photosmart C4180 printer/scanner/copier. I have at least three laptops on my home - all running Windows XP. The Toshiba Satellite A100 is running Windows XP Home SP3 (soon to be upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate), The Compaq Presario V6150 running Windows XP Media Center SP2 and a Lenovo Thinkpad T60 running Windows 7 Ultimate.
Recently, my Compaq Presario laptop has some problems on trying to print on my HP C4180 Printer on my Windows 7 system. At one point, I was able to print from my laptop to the desktop, but the very next day - it wouldn't print to my desktop at all.
To solve this problem, I have to remove the shared printer off the laptop and then re-adding it to the laptop. I found that to be pain-in-the-neck.
Did one of you people experienced the same or similar problem before? If so, how did you solve the problem?
