So I emailed Atomic yesterday to call off the group buy since no one is interested and he fired back an email like this:
Me to Atomic:
"Atomic, I have put up the thread for over 2 weeks now and I cannot get enough people to commit. It was either the price was too high or the problematic antenna issue that was has been documented on youtube with the aluminum casing. I was hoping to get this going but Ithis won't be the case anymore. I thank you for your time and effort for letting me set this up in the first place."
Atomic to Me:
"We have a re engineered one released in 2 days. 1-7 db loss only. The sides are vented."

Is it vented on both sides so the sim can be taken out? Are the same colours available like the last version??

Okay I emailed a guy at atomiciphonecase.com about a case I saw yesterday. I think it looks really sexy and unique. It is made of CNC Billet Aluminum and it is a two piece screw on. It is very similar if not exactly like the Vapor 1 made by ElementCase (not the Vapor II).
Specs:

Will this case affect the notorious antenna issue since the material is aluminum? Also i am involved in a forum community that loves group purchases. I know $69.99 is a very steep price for bargin hunters like myself and the community so my ultimate question is are you willing to give a sizable discount if I can round up enough people to purchase this casing?
If so, what is the magic number to get a discount?
Also, do you offer a revised version of this casing so that the sim card can be removed without removing the casing?
Just to give you an idea of what happened this week on the forum, we had 200+ members lined up to purchase a sillicon case from SGP and they left many hanging without response. So if the price is right I think you guys can gain a lot of exposure on our website. This same forum has given ZAGG a huge boost in sales.

We do not have a cutout .. We are working on a carbon fiber / Aluminum hybrid version for signal weak areas.
We can help the 200 plus members with a deal.
See if you can organize a group purchase of 200 Cases. We can subtract 20% or give free carbon fiber texture plate.

Also Ryan, are you going to include shipping to Canada for this item? If shipping price is not included I think this might deter the buyers because of the mid-high priced case. Furthermore because the item is only weighting in at 22 Grams it is quite light and shipping cost to your self should be low.

Packages are a 1lb minimum. However we can cover shipment but it will be USPS Priority Mail with tracker. Are you on the rogers network? We will not accept returns based on signal strengths. We will accept returns for obvious defects. I think that is fair.
Me to Atomic:
Yes we are on Rogers network. And shipping through USPS is perfect and preferred since there is a lower change to getting taxed and dutied.
I have a concern from a member, can you verify this?

No, it will not...we cradle the antenna so its not touching.. IT touches the edge of the glass which is like resin material thats very strong.
