Yet another credit score question

Its been a while since I checked my credit score and was interested in doing so. I've seen a few 'free credit reports' type ads and was wondering if they are legit and in fact free? Is it only Equifax and Transunion in Canada and how much are they? What is considered a good score? I've been working for 15 plus years, have a mortgage and always pay my bills in full on time. Although that was not always the case when I was younger and didn't know anything about finances.

Thanks.

With all due respect, a bit of search function on this forum and google searches would have given you the answers you are looking for.

What is a good score? There is nothing in the book that says whats really "good" .... anything over 700 you will not have trouble getting any type of loan, etc.

How much are the reports? http://www.equifax.com / www.transunion.ca - free reports can be obtained through either one. You need to ask for it in writing and they don't show your actual score. If you want to know the score, pay up.
