Hi. Is there a car seat for 30 lbs that can easily be removed like the booster seat (which is for 40lbs+)?

I have two kids and 2 cars but don't want to have too many car seats. We already have two car seats and both of these car seats are 3-in-1.

Thanks!

Do you mean a car seat that doesn't need LATCH or seat belts for the install? I don't think that exists. For ease of installation, we love our Britax Marathons. Something about them makes removal and install a breeze. When we had two kids, we only ever had those two car seats. They stayed in one car 90% of the time. The odd time we used the other car, we just moved the seats over (did the "car-seat-shuffle" -- as DH calls it!).

Yes that is what I'm looking for. I know the booster seat uses the seat belt as the seat belt for the kid so it's very easy to move the seats from one car to another. I wasn't sure if there was something similar for kids under 40lbs.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll do some research on the Britax brand.

They have to be in a 5 point harness until they are 40 pounds. We had an Evenflo carseat that went up to 47 pounds for the 5 point harness. Now it's used as a booster and good up to 100 pounds. More parents are keeping their kids in 5 point harnesses for longer. Britax is one brand that goes up to 65 pounds for 5 point harness and one of the more expensive ones.

i have the britax boulevard 65 paid 340 for this years model...so worth it...it's easy to manage and adjust and has great side safety features that most other seats don't...
