Is this stretched on a frame or just rolled up?

The deal seems to be a little weak. If the canvas was say double that size it might be more worth the cost. Ah well.

How is it weak? I've never been able to get a 16x20 canvas, FRAMED, for this price...

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's a terrible deal and I am still even thinking about it myself.
I have seen a similar deal like this before so it's not the first. This time I am looking for larger prints that's all.

Where does it say that this is a framed print?
The discussion on the page itself talks about the frame and the merchant answered that it is a 3/4" (0.75) depth.

I actually got a 16x20" stretched canvas print from artscow.com for $22.99 (free ship). The quality wasn't mind-blowing, but it wasn't bad either, for that price.

Only 3/4" depth?... that's awful... I've seen better before.
There was one time when for the same price, a different place was offering an 18x24 stretched, with UV protection and finest inks on a high quality canvas, 1.5" depth, plus you could have picked it up at their downtown office if you wanted to save on the shipping.
Don't get me wrong, but I think this deal is COLD

This deal was COLD because of this one time some other place offered a "better" deal? You can't just render every other single deal cold because of this one time you got a good one

the deal is COLD because you're getting what you pay for, nothing something out of the ordinary
a 3/4" depth canvas looks cheap, and also the website is well known for using cheap materials.... so there's no deal here
sorry, you try, and try, and try to argue... but the sad truth is that there is no deal here... and IMO they are just ripping off people when they charge more than $49 for that canvas as a regular price

Where do you see discussion that they use cheap material? My understanding is actually quite the opposite - that they do use higher quality materials.

omg, why do you have to argue every single comment?, are you a shareholder at this place?... a couple of friends of mine have bought from them before, and i've seen it. its quality is the same as artscow's (not the best materials/quality)... but at least cowsart is cheap, not like this website who claims to be using the best materials in order to charge more, but it's not true

Because - I've talked to people too who tell me the quality IS good. So just because you've heard it's bad, it doesn't make you right. Doesn't make me right either. I haven't ordered my print yet...

Well I got mine this morning. I'm gonna disagree with the above statement. I got to say the printing quality was downright garbage in my opinion. I have sent off an email to them to try and fix the situation. The frame and everything look fine even the canvas feels ok, but the print quality was just total garbage. I can't even give that to someone as a gift.
Seeing as I don't have the photo handy here to post...the photo was of my infant son in the leaves and the light was just right to bring out his deep royal blue eyes we shot the photo with a 8MP camera. On the canvas however his skin tone was as pink as could be and his royal blue eyes were totally black. It prints as a photo just fine...this printer clearly can't grasp certain colours.
Can't believe it. That's not worth $49 + shipping...maybe less than $20 I wouldn't complain about it. But i'm really P/O as it was meant as a gift...and I can't believe how badly it turned out.

You never give up, eh?.... you've talked to people who told you quality is good, and that was enough for you to backup your comments?... well, I've personally seen the quality, and it's way below what you would expect for the "sale" price. To get the same quality, you could have gone to artscow, and pay way less than the "sale" price offered.
Just because you were the OP and bought the deal, doesn't mean that you have to convince everybody that the deal is good.... sometimes you win, sometimes you lose
Deal was freezing COLD... as lots of people have agreed to.
And what about the 3/4" depth?.... no decent canvas is less than 1.25" depth, otherwise it looks cheap

Got mine yesterday in the mail!
16x20 Black and white photo
Here is my review:
FRAME and DEPTH:
Contstruction of the overall piece was quite well done, however the canvas that was stretched over seemed be disorganized and felt that it could have been tighter still. My main concern was frame depth. The depth weak for sure. I'm sure it wouldn't been hard to have a thicker frame than 3/4' because as the canvas was stretched back quite a bit leaving excess. One concern of mine was when you uploaded your picture , their software automatically placed it within a set parameters even though they had a "gray" area that was intended for the overbleed. I wanted to upload a picture that was slightly bigger than 16x20 so that the edges were a continuation of the photo rather than the black overbleed that ended up happening, however their web interface would not let me and would resize it improperly. That was quite frustrating.
CANVAS
I'm not an expert when it comes to paint absorbant material, however the black ink looked quite well and felt pretty good. The black ares looked to be true blacks under high florescent light so the ink didn't seem to be poor. Although my photo was only black and white so could be the difference.
RESOLUTION and CONTRAST
This is where I felt could have been better. The digital camera that used to upload the photo was from a prefessional Canon SLR. Perhaps it's just my lack of knowledge from when a photo is being transfered to canvas but I definately do feel you lose resolution due to the material. Looking from a far the picture looks really good, however as such with all resolution, when you look closer you start to see it in the detail. Perhaps their printer isn't as high quality as I had hoped.
OVERALL
I felt that the overall quality was okay/good but if what people say you can get the same quality at artscow than I have to say I would not reorder from here again for the price tag. What would have made it worth 67$ (after S&H + TAX ). If the frame width was freaken thicker! And if you the webinterface would have let you overbleed the picture onto the frame (LIKE THE PHOTO THEY HAVE ON THEIR WEBSITE!)

Can someone recommend a place (not necessarily located in Toronto or Canada) that offers high quality canvas prints for a decent price including shipping? I'd like something with a thicker frame (over 1") and custom sizing. I'm probably looking for a 16x26".
Right now I'm looking at Hello Canvas which seems to have good reviews (but can't find a ton) who will do it for $120 including shipping. That sounds pretty steep to me but I'll do it if the quality is worth it.

Just in case you didn't notice it, she actually works for RFD. I would be surprised if RFD isn't going and checking out the quality of these things before posting deals for them, but, regardless I think they have a money back guarantee on their website if you aren't happy with the service being provided by one of their group deals..

just in case you didn't notice... i said the deal is COLD because the price to pay, for a low quality canvas with nothing out of the ordinary means you can get a different canvas at other webpages for better prices

Well I'm sure more canvas/print deals will come along I think the 24"/36" ones are FAR less likely. They simply aren't the major market. Most of these 16x20 deals are of course targeting all of those "point & shooters"

Unfortunately, canvas is all he does. I would like to do some prints on metal.

oops, didnt realize this was an old thread resurrected. oh well, comment still relevant.
You mustn't follow this forum. RFD deal of the day has a terrible reputation here. Start with finding threads on selling fake memory cards from fly by night websites, other deals from sites clearly selling faked brands, garbage android tablets, and repeating deals there had been lots of complaints over like the toronto cruises. On top of regularly promoting clearly faked regular prices, particularly for things like jewellery being sold from someones apartment. Very very clear they do absolutely nothing to vet the deals. In my opinion no one should touch any deal they offer.
Marketing elements has done TONS of "canvas print" offers on deal sites to the point the "deal" should be considered the regular price. Some of those deals were through captain save, that shut down and stole peoples money on a number of deals. Coincidentally marketing elements and captain save were at the same address. They claim they weren't related and just shared the space. Who knows. Personally wouldn't touch anything from marketing elements either
