What are eligible for the Federal Transit Tax Credit?

From the CRA website, I understand that weekly or monthy TTC passes are eligible for the credit.

On the Go Transit, is it just the monthly pass that is eligible for the credit? Thanks.

Monthly GO transit passes (except 2-rides and 10-rides) are eligible for the Federal Transit Tax Credit. If you are using the PRESTO Card (providing that your card has been registered), you have to use the PRESTO card for at least 32 one-way trips within a single transit system during any calendar month. You can download the statement by logging into your PRESTO card account online at www.prestocard.ca

Just to reinforce your TTC claim, the GTA Weekly pass and the TTC Weekly pass (adults, senior/students) have to be bought each week in a single month (i.e. four weeks).

Thanks Mada. Didn't know that the Presto Card when used consecutively would be eligible since I'm new to the Go Transit System and not even the Go Transit website mentions this (at least today when I checked). At least I know that I'll be getting a Presto Card just in case I won't be getting the monthly pass.

Please keep in mind that the TTC is not a "full participant" of PRESTO, but there are PRESTO readers throughout certain TTC stations. Those TTC stations are:
Union, Bloor/Yonge, College, Dundas, Queen’s Park, St. George, St. Patrick, Kipling, Islington, Don Mills and Downsview.

If you want to transfer to a bus or streetcar after you paid your TTC fare with your PRESTO card (the price is $2.50 with PRESTO), you have to get a transfer at one of those red transfer issuing machines located after you paid your fare.

There's one thing you didn't ask, which GO train line do you live along on? At this time PRESTO is available along the Lakeshore West, Milton, Georgetown and Lakeshore East lines (certain stations such as Ajax, Danforth for the time being with more stations coming online). The remainder of the GO train lines and GO buses will be PRESTO-ready by the spring or early summer 2011.

I don't take the TTC anymore Mada. I take the Lakeshore West line. Thanks again for helping out. Maybe some people didn't know that the Presto cards do count so long as used for a number of times in calendar month.

EDIT:

I forgot that Presto wasn't just part of the Go Transit and that it was more of a corroboration among public transportation systems. No wonder I never bothered looking up tax credit for Presto. Thanks again for the FAQ link.
