I just saw it from the group buy forum:
$20 for $50 worth of Pet Food, Grooming Accessories, and more from Pet Valu ($50 Value)
which makes a 60% off regular price.

DealTicker (http://dealticker.ca/_20_for__50_worth_of_pet_food__grooming_accessorie s__and_more_from_pet_valu___50_value__en_1220prod. html)
If link doesn't work, just visit http://dealticker.ca/product.php (workable from Jan 21 to 23, 2011)

 Sounds like a fairly good deal to buy pet food :)

I'm (kind of) re-posting this in the pet forum just in case you missed it from the other forum. :p

Side Notes
Make sure you know the location, time limit and their coupon rules before you make a purchase!
If you want to know a list of brands that they carry in their store, check out their website.

It's a bit of a trek but good deal, I'll buy one! IIRC, PetValu does sell Acana, which is what my dog eats.

Edit: nevermind, they don't sell Acana http://www.petvalu.com/petproducts/dogs.htm But maybe they sell Muttluks and I can buy some for my dog.

Such a good deal. I don't know why stores offer these deals, I am certain they lose money on it and I doubt they will gain new repeat customers. The new customers they get will go back to their old locations after their coupons are done.

Anyways, I bought 6!

LOL, I wonders too! Especially this deal is such a deal on "essential" stuffs like dog food, cat litter and maybe accessories that probably aren't that cheap to stock them!

Anyway, I got 2 myself and one as gift :) the only thing is that the two available locations aren't the closest ones in town. So I'll need to drive 15-20 minute to that specific location whereas there is another petvalu just 5 min. drive away from my place.

WOW this deal is amazing! Deer antlers NEVER go on sale and the Wilson Ave Pet Valu is actually the 3rd closest one to my aunts place! Now to ensure I go to Toronto before July.! My only concern is....will it look bad if I keep redeeming these vouchers by separating the purchases if I use them all up in one trip. I will stock up for a year's supply of food and deer antler for my boy! I bought 6 of these :o I got lots of Tuffy toys, Pawz boots, new bag, crate bed etc. to buy. Things I don't need at regular price but if it's 60% I will buy!!! :o

Folks if you're buying food remember to use your coupons if you've got them! I am going to stack it with my Wellness coupons to make it a smoking hot deal!

Something else I don't understand is that they got this silly restriction like "buy 3 but unlimited gifts" since if I want 6 I can just buy 3 for myself and then gift the other 3 to hubby!!!!!! Such a silly restriction!!!

Yeah... it's a dumb restriction. I just noticed the limit of 3, so that's all I got. I would buy more, but my credit card was compromised yesterday. :( Don't have a back up one. BTW, they wouldn't tell me where it was compromised, but in the past 2 weeks, I only used it for auto-payments, grocery shopping and this coupon. Not saying it was that website, but just that it could be a possibility.

So you say you have Wellness coupons... where did you find those?

The vouchers don't have any identifying information on them either (no name, credit card # etc), so I don't see why you couldn't just buy as many "gifts" as you wanted and use them yourself. To be honest I'm somewhat surprised that they are so "open" in terms of security, all there is is a code and an order number that the store clerk obviously can't verify.

Meh it's ok to be compromised. I went through a string of them like a few in a short period like 3 months (I made a post about it in personal finance as I was fairly upset then). I still don't really know what set it off other than me not making Cogeco automatic payment (got compromised everytime I called in to set it to automatic payments. I doubt Cogeco has that many shady employees. I will post here if my credit card gets compromised. BMO is fairly good with it and will send you a new card.

I get Wellness coupons since I sign up for their monthly newsletter. It takes like 6-8 weeks to start receiving them but here is this month's newsletter with coupons: http://app.bronto.com/public/?q=preview_message&fn=Link&id=klsp6igk1yvs56sx0bcq3fcii674u&ssid=4778&t=3

If you go to Wellness's facebook page they will post the link to the coupon/newsletter page when it's out for everybody to see without "liking" their page too. Wellness coupons are always usually posted from 19 to as late as 27th every month. If you're lazy like me I will sign up for their newsletter and give them fake info just to get these coupons  I will warn you though, I got rejected recently at the local Global Pet Foods for no good reason saying they had a lot of fraud...but these coupons are straight from manufacturer  I still need to send Wellness a email saying I want real coupons. They are good like that, where they will send you real printed glossy coupons if you email them too! :)

Anybody know if Acana offer coupons like Wellness? I'm ready to change up my boy's food again.

Yeah.....that's why I generally only buy from Groupon as I seem to trust them to protect my info more. I hope I don't regret anything for this deal!!!

Another way to get Wellness coupons is to grab a bag of there free sample bags of food! Those have $2 off coupon with NO expiry dates! I always got at least one of those in my purse! You get free food AND a coupon so win win!! I never pay full price for food!!

I think our info will be fine, I'm more worried that some jackass is going to buy one, photocopy it 10 times and ruin these deals for everyone.

I used one today and they have a list of all the vouchers that they will just cross off as used.

Sounds like a few of us were able to grab the deal before it was gone by last weekend

I plan to go this weekend to redeem one of the two group-deal that I bought.

- Has anyone already used it?

- Anything that I need/should do before going there? (I saw the back of the coupon says to call them before O.o, or it's meant for other types of stores like restaurant/beauty spa only?)

- Any extra deals/ Good found ?

OMG...my stupidity. I asked hubby to stock up on Acana food as I no longer feed my dog Wellness after the recent recall and don't think they got their quality control under control. They don't sell Acana at all! Oh dear and I got $300 worth of vouchers! 'sigh' not sure if I can buy that many toys as I originally wanted a travel carrier bag but at ~$150 it's a bit hefty. I'll go to the US to get it way cheaper! I am so screwed with a lot of "stuck" money in this deal

That store is so baren (Toronto location, Scarb location might be better)... had I visited to store first, I would not have bought those vouchers. I only used one coupon and stocked up of various wet foods for my cats. I want to ween them from Wellness to something better, but my guys are picky eaters.

I'm going see if I can call in and order specific items.

At least you live in the city and still got a lot of chance to use those vouchers! God....I think I'm learning my lesson about group deals....most are crappy. Hubby was in the city so I told him to go get some food but my god...they didn't have much! I'll go to the Scarborough one the next time I am in TO. Not very optimistic though.

I was considering trying Performatrin too, but they don't make a grain free one and one of our cats scoots around if she gets "regular" food.
