Art Gallery of Ontario - does it take the whole day?

I plan on going there soon, but I don't know if I could just go there for a few hours or spend a whole day there? Is it a waste if I go for a few hours? Has anyone ever been?

Go and enjoy if you've never been, especially now the addition and updates are completed. If you're only there for a few hours, there's lots of other things to see/do while you're in the area. However long you spend there, it won't be a waste of your time. :)

Went on Friday, took 30 mins to get in. Line up went all the way to OCAD, past the main entrance of OCAD.

Spent 3 hours on the 1st floor, but that was because my date wanted to be thorough. She admired the art more than I did...while I admired her...bahahaha!

We did not see 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floor. :| Not enough time. We finished around 11pm and was mad hungry...so left and will be back next time to see the rest of the exhibits.

It was free this past weekend right? I plan on going on a regular day, paying admission, hoping the lineup isn't too long.
