Wrong....again.

The KFC fried chicken Double Down isn't around 60 calories......it has in excess of 500 calories ( and the grilled chicken option has over 400 calories ).

Nope.
In response to megalison's request, back on post # 1709 I already supplied megalison with just under 20 specific suggestions of foods he could bring to the office to help him with his goal of gaining weight.
What would your 15 suggestions be of foods megalison could " bring to the office " to help him with his goal of gaining weight ?
Look forward to seeing your list of 15 items....after all, the more suggestions of foods megalison could choose from to " bring to the office "...the better.

You don't need a fridge.
Meat isn't going to go bad in a matter of a few hours even if he was outside. Back in the day, when I was putting myself through uni, I was a framing carpenter and worked outside in days like today. I used to take my lunch and put it on the dash of my car to heat it up. Nothing to worry about. Dairy is something else and not something I would recommend he eat anyway. No, I don't care about your opinion on dairy._______________

OK then...so we've got meat covered off ...and no dairy.
Fair enough.
Meat aside, what other suggestions might you have of foods megalison could " bring to the office " to help him with his goal of gaining weight ....i.e. snacks, stuff he could keep in his desk etc. etc. ?_______________

Grilled rib eye with asparagus on the side
Chicken coconut curry
Beef and vegetable stir fry
Homemade skinless sausages with hard boilded eggs on the side, along with a tomato, cucumber, red pepper, Spanish onion, and garlic
Hard boiled eggs alone with a green salad
Baby spinach salad with sliced chicken thighs
Homemade saurkraut with pastured pork sausages
Roasted whole chicken with cucumbers and avocado
BBQ'ed pork chops with arugula salad, with vinaigrette
BBQ'ed pork ribs with dry rub, with choice of vegetables on the side
Raw white and red cabbage salad with vinaigrette and meat of choice
How's that? 11 choices that I had this week alone and typed out in less than 5 minutes.
Snacks? LOL Those are for fat people. Maybe you'd like to share your snack ideas?_______________

I specifically asked you...
" Meat aside, what other suggestions might you have "
So, let's cross outthe meatabove ...and see what's left...shall we.
Basically, what's left is.......
salads
vegetables / stir fry
eggs
.......so, THESE are the 4 food types above ( in addition to meat ) that will help him pack on weight ?
What different foods, ( if any ) would as you suggest for a mid morning, mid afternoon, pre bedtime - and assuming he trains - a pre and post workout snack to help him gain weight ?_______________

I'm not suggesting anything. I'm offering him advice. That above was what I eat on a daily basis. If you can't eat that, and feel the urge to eat carbohydrates like chocolate milk, Carnation Instant Breakfast, dried fruits, and bagels, well then, that's for you. Not us. In my world there are no food groups. Eat meat, seafood, eggs, vegetables, and some nuts and fruit in moderation.
How much easier and to what level of comprehension, do I need to bring this, for you to understand?
Pack on weight? LOL Yes, but not fat. I eat about 4000 calories a day now based on those very foods, so why is that an obstacle to your understanding? You are obviously trying to find a flaw in my reasoning, and yet, it doesn't interest me. In fact, I've wasted enough time on entertaining your questions so I'll just move on. Find someone else to pester._______________

Thanks guys, no need for the squabble though haha.
One more quick question, which brand of whey protein isolate is the best value? I've been using ON Gold Standard but it's too expensive to re-up as I got it on sale last time.

I buy the NOW: Whey Protein Isolate (natural flavor). It has 1 ingredient - whey isolate. After shipping and the standard 10% off code, 10 lbs. = $116.84 from bb.com
I was interested in the Kaizen Naturals line just because it seemed fairly cheap for a natural brand. I think the whole grass fed whey is a scam IMO but I would have tried it if not for the soy. I know it's probably a miniscule amount but since my current brand doesn't have it, why switch?Last edited by rilhouse; Jul 13th, 2012 at 03:21 PM.
