I don't know how safe it is to eat out anymore.

If someone preparing or handling your meal is infected with COVID-19 they can inadvertently pass it onto you.

This thing is highly contagious!

Not so much via the food. Take precautions

"There is no evidence out there that, so far with [Covid-19], that its foodborne-driven or food service-driven," Williams said in an information webinar. "This really is respiratory, person-to-person. At this point there is no evidence really pointing us towards food [or] food service as ways that are driving the epidemic.

I am no scientist.

If it's so important that we constantly wipe down handles and like frequently held items, does that not tell you it's not limited to person-to-person interaction?

How safe/fresh is the food? Since less people are eating out, that means less turn over of food...

This is a deal sight not a therapy sight but thanks for your concern. I come to this site for a break from the media. If you are that concerned about food I guess you will starve as there is a 3rd party touching everything you eat unless you are a farmer.
Thanks OP great place with fantastic food.

Zap the food in the microwave when you get it home if you want to be on the safer side I guess.

No evidence it gets transferred via food. You should wipe / sanitize the containers though and wash your hands before eating in case you touch your face.

I’ve eaten from here a number of times. Food is pretty good as far as takeout Greek goes.

What we’ve been doing is any packages or deliveries that come to the home. We leave it at the front door, wipe it all down with disinfectant wipes, let it dry and bring the contents into the house after. Leaving the boxes at the front and then garage.

Guys, you should really stop eating out for your selfish ass. Restaurant workers need to go home. Let them shut down.

^ great suggestion. I am actually going to do this and refrain from restaurant made salads.

It is a great deal indeed. Thanks.

i guess you havent really read about mortgage delayed.
interest are still being accumulate.
things are just deferral. when this is over you still need to pay it in full
you still need to pay for foods, supplies, insurance, phone, internet.
most people in toronto are living paycheque to paycheque.
sad but thats reality.
regardless this is a deal.
astoria foods has always been great.
hope they can stay afloat through this.
