Astraweb speeds on Rogers
Post up your rogers plan, average download speed, connection type (non-ssl/ssl, server, port, # of connections) and location (very important). I'm trying to see if it's Astraweb, my settings or Rogers. I'm not trying to jump to conclusions...

I usually get 1.18 down on Astraweb with Extreme. SSL, US server. Default port. 20 connections. Brampton-Vaughan border. Any client... I use Unison on Mac and *********er on Windows.
I doubt its Astraweb. Have you gone to speedcheck.rogers.com? Check your speed on Rogers servers... if you get anything less than 95% of your theoretical max bandwidth, harass Rogers via echat until they open a ticket for you.Last edited by loybond; Dec 1st, 2008 at 06:16 AM.

Been checking, but I will be opening up a ticket. The node is ridiculously overloaded by the looks of it and they might be throttling everything during high traffic periods. Getting 3Mbps through Rogers speed check website right now. I'm barely getting 4Mbps on usenet/HTTP/FTP.
