I had an ASUS M2 that I bought a couple of years ago, back when it was the thinnest, lightest P3 14-inchlappy available. It gave me 3 solid years of good performance & I only had to reformat a couple of times... until a couple of months ago when the Hard drive blew up, but that was reasonably cheap and easy to fix, so all up I'd still reccomend them. Although, I've just upgraded to a FS series VAIO now

Asus laptop reliability
I was thinking of buying an Asus laptop, probably a W3V or a built on Asus M3N. I want to know if anyone has had problems with these or whether they have more issues in general than others. I've looked at reviews and other forums and they seem to concur that its well built with some anecdotal issues here and there.
I'd love to get a second opinion though/.
Thanks!

I have an asus m6n and I left it on one night on my desk and the ***** overheated and the hardrive went bust. The thing overheats like a mofo and I have no clue why. It's a great laptop though cheap too.

I have a L8400 600mhz from like 5 years ago still works great, recently upgraded to 750mhz now its even better.
I also HAD Z91, I dropped it about 3 feet onto tile floor, it landed on the top left corner and the MOBO cracked, LCD and HD all broke, so I sold the RAM and other parts on ebay and threw it away.
