To cut the costs and make it within Google's price point, they had to change the originally planned processor from a Tegra 3 to a Tegra 2

its scheduled to come out in the states tmw, same as the samsung galaxy tab 2

so tempting, I'm still debating which one to get, either get one now or wait for the nexus tablet in the summer

There's been many rumours about this but nobody will know for sure until Google releases more info.

It all depends on what Google wants to price the tablet at. If they want it to be $150 to compete with Amazon, then Tegra 3 certainly won't be in the picture.

Hopefully the tf300 also fixes the microsd card slot issue that Prime had. When the microsd card was inserted in the Prime it was protruding quite a bit. The TF101 it fit perfectly.

no brainer to get the 32gb version if its only $20 more. So it is confirmed it is tegra 3.
