ATI Radeon HD 4000 series is slated for late Q2
Well this is probly why there also lowering 3870 prices to make them midrange then.

I don't get why they would use GDDR5 memory when their flagship 4870's memory speed is slower than 3870 memory speed. Is it not more expensive to use GDDR5 instead of GDDR4 memory and run them at GDDR4 speeds?

Right now it's way too early to speculate on the next gen stuff. I'll believe it when I see it, and when I see it I won't be telling you guys
