ATI Remote Wonder problems....

Hello all,
I have the ATI TV Wonder Pro (Remote Control edition) and am having problems installing the remote reciever. I probably messed up the install the first time and now it seems that windows has the wrong driver for the reciever. When I open the remote software it shows all settings but it doesn't have the taskbar icon at all even though I have it checked off... I'm pretty sure it works because I've had it working on a previous OS install... any way to get rid of Windows auto-installing the wrong drivers? o_O Thanks!

download latest software from site
remove old drivers with add/remove programs
dont' restart and install the new software, then restart.

yeah most of the time a reinstall for the RW's is quicker than actually diagnosing the problem... it's kind of annoying too.
