just register your card...then fill out the online forms....you will receive an RMA number by email after submit the online rma request.... and then just put ur card in a box and drive to ATI HQ and they will accept it....but be sure it put ur RMA number on the box front + back and sides preferably...w/o an rma number they will refuse it.Originally Posted by BMF

ATI RMA Procedure/Help/Advice
I'm having problems with my AIW X1900. A friend got it off the ATI store for me about 3 weeks ago. I'm having problems booting my computer as well as constant freezing in games (Oblivion/Gtr).
So I'm wondering what the procedure for RMAing this card to ATI would be. The only thing I had to RMA was a DVD Writer that I just took back to CC and they took care of it.
I was looking at their website and they have a bunch of forms to fill out...would rather just speak to someone on the phone. So is there a number I could call? They want me to register the card before they let me see the phone numbers...Can I just drive it over to Markham instead of shipping it?

As a former RMA clerk my advice would be to complete all the forms required and submit the forms. make sure you keep copies of everything. if they state a certain time period before your get your RAM number and you dont get it call them. dont send or drop off anything the company witout a RMA number it will just get lost without the proper documentation.

May 4th, 2006 09:15 PM #6Have you tried driver updates? What PSU are you using? Maybe want to investgate further. ATI's RAM is pretty painless, but it can still takes upto two weeks before you get a card back.

ATI is awesome with RMAs. You do up the paperwork and drop it off at the ATI building. You go to the second building, not the main one. When you drop it off, you will get a receipt. I got my card back in two business days. It was very good.

Yes, I did quite a bit of troubleshooting. This is basically my first computer problem in like 2 years...and I've been through at least 10 cards in the past year.
Anyway, I'll try it tomorrow.
