Another great deal at RCSS (or known Nationwide as various other names under Loblaws corporation)

Venturer Audio Video DVD Micro Stereo System with 4.5" TFT LCD Screen that tilts 10% upward or downward and has two separate speakers that sound surprisingly great !! It also has a built-in 40 station preset AM/FM digital tuner and comes with full function remote control.

I listened to a movie which was playing on the display one in store and it really sounded great. This would be a perfect system for the kids room or bedroom or the cottage.

My RCSS only had 3 of these left !!

I looked for the Norcent 27" LCD TV which another poster indicated was on clearance for $599.44 at their RCSS, but my store did not have any ....it seems as though Loblaws is clearing different items at different locations ?

LOL....Nice pics mahjongmaniac & optimum....actually with your uploaded pics and optimum's 2 pics....it looks as though this unit does come in either silver or gold.....my RCSS had only silver models AFAIK

I will report back my findings on playback capability for MP3 & Divx formats later this evening or tomorrow.

I don't think it comes in gold. It's probably just the camera or lighting. Just look at the remote. You can tell it's really grey.

Gave this baby a work out...GREAT NEWS !!

It plays the following formats:

Audio CD, MP3's on CD with full ID3 function, WMA files, VCD, DVD, DVD-+R discs, Divx 3.xx to 5.xx without any problem and various Jpeg files !! It will not play MP3's on DVD-/+r discs

Truly amazing for such a compact little system.....the screen is a tad small, but it does the basic job....and it does tilt 10 degrees either up or downward to make viewing more comfortable no matter what your position. The remote button layout is not logical IMO, but it does have all the necessary functions for both FM listening and movie watching.

It freaked me out that it had a little micro fan on the back to keep the component cool....however, it runs fairly quiet.

The sound is absolutely amazing for such a small system and I only had the speakers separated by a foot.....you can extend each speaker out 5 feet so a total separation of about 10 feet

For this price, I highly recommend this micro system for various uses.
