Amazon same price.

Was really considering this but there is a there is some annoying grinding noise after full turn of the lock.

Those who can tolerate its a good deal.

Seem lounder than the round one.

The review seems bad, seems like the Bluetooth doesn’t work most of the time. I was looking at these smart locks but I decided to go with a keypad one instead to save the headaches down the line.

I have the second gen and I don't have any issue. BT works for me every time.

I can't comment on this as I don't have this gen.

Waiting for the Pro to go on sale if ever it drops to $200 I will definitely get one.

I have the pro and it works great. I can connect it to smartthings and the auto-unlock features is great.

Just picked it up, bestbuy offered 2 year warranty for $15, declined and was offered for $10 instead. Safe bet for a mechanical device.

I have been using the 1st gen August homekit for over 3 years now. Love it. Love to be able to lock and unlcok my door for friends and family when I am not home. It's pretty reliable. I love setting up the geofencing. Locks and unlock as I leave the geofence. I had a keypad lock before, and it is annoying, specially when they fail or the #pads wear out...you may have a drill hole left in your door; if your version is no longer in production.

I also have a lock box with my house key in the garage JUST in case it doesn't work. But I have never used it.

Same price on Amazon (also only on the silver and surely will magically go back up in price when Best Lie's sale is over  ). Reviews are...mixed. Not sure what's better, one of these or finding one of the clearance deals on a real "smart" deadbolt from Lowes, or HD?
Edit: Actually w/o clearance even there seem to be a lot of $70-150 electronic deadbolts these days, though maybe they aren't "smart"/phone-app enabled.

What is better about the professional version, other than the fact that it's a circle and not relatively huge? It's like 3x the price...does that ever go on sale for 50%+ off? 'Cause definitely not entertaining $300 on something like that!

Tempting but I rather wait for the PRO + Connect bundle. Connect alone is $78, PRO + Connect bundle was $249 just a few days ago.

You can set it to auto lock so that it locks as soon as the door is closed. But that can be turned off.
