Auto log book

Regarding automobile log book, is driving to my office from home considered personal? I read it somewhere but I can't find it now

Yes, driving from your house to your place of business is personal, not a business travel.

Keep in mind if you are a consultant driving from your home office to a downtown venue for marketing or other business purposes (such as meeting accountants, bankers, lawyers, vendors, contractors, financial advisors, advertisers, competitors, or other networking activities etc) is a valid business endeavour and could be considered deductible. That is an alternative to driving there for the purpose of fulfilling your "work" commitments that may be in a nearby building.
