Automated way to record CBC1 while I'm away...?
I need to record two segments on CBC1 while I'm away at the cottage this weekend, one tomorrow morning and one on Saturday.
Is there any way I can schedule this from my PC? Does CBC1 even webcast?
Or do I need to get someone to do this for me from a conventional radio?
Any quick advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

You can use a program like Audacity or Windows Media Encoder to record it.
If you have enough disk space, just start recording before you leave and then when you get back just find the bits you want to listen to and extract them from the large file.

Don't you have a good old stereo with FM and tape recorder?
If not use this direct URL
mms://wm.cbc.ca/cbcr1-toronto
Use this software first one (find the crack somewhere)

"Works with WM VCR scheduling add-on."

PolderbitS also has a timer feature so you can schedule the recorder. There is a free 2 week unlimited trial.

Thanks for the replies all - I just realised I get it on ExpressVu, so I'm just recording it on my PVR and I'll extract the audio later.
Cheers!
