Anyone know if there's a way to transfer AMEX MR (Canada) to ANA Mileage Club? ANA only charges 50k to get to Japan, AP is 75k for all of Asia 1. Any other creative way to transfer to ANA?
An update on this... I just realized that Tokyo(NRT) is 4,674 miles away from YVR...
This makes YVR-NRT 25k Avios with JL (one way).

Of course, if Tokyo is not your final destination in Japan, it's another short-haul 4,500 Avios... but still 50,000–59,000 is cheaper than Aeroplan's 75k to Asia.

Another couple of options:
YVR-LAX: 7,500
LAX-NRT: 25,000
NRT-YVR: 25,000
Total: 57,500

SEA-HNL - 12,500 (If you are willing to drive down to Seattle:)
HNL-NRT/HND - 20,000
NRT-YVR 25,000
Total: 57,500 Avios including a stop in Hawaii.

It's too bad BLI doesn't have AS flights to HNL... only to OGG and KOA.

Anyway, thought you'd appreciate a few tips to use BA Avios to get to Japan if you're on the West Coast.

My views are my own and not those of anyone other than myself – as if someone may have thought they were. and if you want legal advice, go and pay for it...

Received email from Aeroplan:
Did you know you could get Aeroplan Miles by converting your hotel points? And now's a great time, because on top of the miles you'll get when you convert your points from Mar. 13 to Apr. 17, 2017, you could get up to 30% more miles with this great offer.

Convert your hotel points into:
2,500 to 99,999 miles 20% more miles
100,000 to 199,999 miles 25% more miles
200,000 + miles 30% more miles

You can use it to buy Marriott Travel package. crimsona has written a lot about it in the Chase Marriott thread

The Marriott is a category 8, the Waikiki courtyard is pretty terrible and the only other one is in north shore, or maybe the airport?
Do you have any experience with the other Marriott or SPG hotels on Maui or Kauai?

Just came back from a 5-night stay in the Marriott Waikoloa and it was quite a nice resort. We booked it as a category 7, but it's category 8 now. I wouldn't stay there until June though, as they're renovating the property. After it's all renovated it will be half time-shares (Marriott Vacation Club).

How bad is the Courtyard Waikiki? It seems like it should be a category 6, like the Courtyard Kamehameha in Kona, but I'm guessing thee word "Waikiki" keeps it as a category 7.
