again..need to stress THERE IS NO FREE INSURANCE
ALL RENTAL CARS IN CANADA COME WITH INSURANCE REGARDLESS OF COMPANY ... cdw/ldw is just for rental car and if you dont work for the company and use the cdw/ldw coverage of their code..if you need to use it, you are screwed. when you make a claim THEY WILL NEED YOUR COMPANY ID for their own purposes.

Am I covered if I rent the card with a goal/platinum card while using the AWD?
edit: should be gold card, goal card is currently limited to certain people only.

Yes, if your credit card offers car rental insurance.

Looking to rent a car with the AWD and a COupon from the 2-4 days rental but it always gives me that it has to include a weekend?
Save $10-20 off 2-4 days rental
$10 Off 2-day rental Coupon number MUCA198
$15 Off 3-day rental Coupon number MUCA199
$20 Off 4-day rental Coupon number MUCA200
ps: For those who have the Entertainment Book COupons.. it seems that the rates are similar to this one (+ or - $1) ... B790072 is the code in case u do not want to risk having to proove your employee of Imperial Tech....
Im wondering if I can use those COporate $ off coupons on the entertainment book
Also anyone know if I can use my own Private car insurance instead of taking the Loss and Damage?

when booking a car online with avis .... doesn't it only give the price without the coupon (even when using coupon code)...... and a physical coupon must be presented to get the discount at the counter?.......... that was my experience at the avis location in markham (hilton hotel location)....

You should check your policy with your insurance provider, I think.

Hi Acrossenger,
Thanks for the thread. It had saved me at least 10% and given me a free upgrade.
One quick question about the coupon, I rent the car for three days over the long weekend, and I did use the AWD and coupon code MUMA012. But when I asked the rep at the counter about the coupon, she said she didn't see it coupon code there (but it is in the confirmation email). Instead, she saw the 10% discount which might or might not be the result of the AWD alone.
Any insight?
Solved: sent an email to CS department, they credited me back $17.1, which brings the total down to $70. Sweet, I'd say.

Thanks OP!!!!!!!!!!!
I got a 4 days rental of full-size fully loaded car (Buick Allure) with sunroof, used the AWD and coupon for 3rd weekend day free. Total came out $112, unlimited kilimeters (drove about 1500Kms). Great deal...
Thanks OP!!!!!!!!

Thanks!
I just rented a Chev Cobalt from Avis at the Vancouver airport this past long weekend.
I used AWD code "C031529" and coupon #MUMA013 (though I can't see on the bill where/if it was specifically applied). They didn't ask me for any proof of employment, etc - just the usual license & credit card
It came to ~$111 + taxes.
Thanks, OP!

Yaris
Hmm I am confused: I went to the site and typed in the information for rental from Friday 4pm until Sunday morning 11 am and I got a price of $35.43 approximate it said??
Is this per day?
God, if that's for all the time I am there, I think pretty good deal.

The site quote the total price, not per day.

Thank you so much! I've reserved a Pontiac G6 (or similar) for my mini-vacation to Nova Scotia in a couple weeks. Great deal!
