you know why. the actual funds also have the same deadline as broker. so if a trust/fund report on the day of dead line to broker, broker will need at least a couple days after dead line to make and prepare Tslips to clients.
to make the situation worse, some fund, say Fund A, that holds other fund/trust(Fund B), dont receive the income allocation until after fund B send fund A the info on dead line/after deadline. Fund A will then have to delay/amend the slips again.

Well that's enough reading for me. Now I will never use Questrade.

Questrade used to be good man when they were not that well known.
I used to receive top notch services and attentions from them.
Now it is much better to pay a little extra to the big 5 to receive less headaches.
Questrade didn't deposit my son's RESP CESG until 1 year later.
Before that, I emailed them like 10 times on the same issue. They told me to bother the government for the grant.
After numerous attempts, I gave up. I just stopped contributing to that Questrade RESP.
Then 1 year later, I received the grant lol, that was an unexpected couple of hundred dollars lol.
They must have sorted out their money in the old system.
This is a simple case of "if it ain't broken, don't try to fix it".
I wish whoever suggested the upgrade should get fired.
