Away from expansys.ca

I recently bought a refurbished Nokia N900 from expansys.ca. I was seeking for help through this forum and no response. I thought I'd like to take my chance. Since the first day I had trouble with the touch lcd. I contacted expansys.ca for return. They agreed but said the refund will be subjected to their inspection of the phone. I was scared by their response and decided to keep this phone. Until today I opened the phone and realized the "refurbished N900" is actually "a badly used N900": I found rusts inside the frame, dusts spread everywhere. I do not want to fight with expansys.ca for a "refurbished $200ish" phone, I just want to warn people who want to buy electronics from that online chain store. This is a very unpleasant online shopping experience.

They offerd to refund you subject to inspection of your phone but you decide to keep it and open it up yourself instead? I don't see the logic in that.

That said they have the final words about the condition of the phone. The touch screen works but no in the way it should. You have to pay the re-stocking fee at their discretion, plus you have to pay the return delivery fee. Put all the things together, I do not know how much I will get back after the return. That is a painful process.

I had very good online shopping experience as well very bad ones. I always lose money and waste time when I tried to fight with bad internet sellers. You can not beat them. The best thing I can do is to take the loss and stay away from them for ever.
