AWS compatible phones

Which phones, other than those that Wind Mobile cells, are compatible with their network? I have a Product Exchange Plan at Best Buy and can exchange for any phone pretty much, and am wondering which phones will work with Wind's network? Can't find a list anywhere.

This site is pretty decent for looking up phones:
http://www.gsmarena.com/

You can choose the frequency too, like the UMTS 1700 (I think) for Wind.

junkmonk, as suggested go to www.gsmarena.com and go to advanced search and choose 1700 as frequency band.

Or easier way: none of the phones sold by Best Buy/Future Shop will work with Wind.

Go to any wind mobile shop and ask any CSR. They have a printed list of all the phones that are compatible with Wind

ya... from that website, gmsarena; there are cell phones that support UMTS such as the HTC magic, but on the Best Buy website, it lists only Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE . So I am assuming this does not support the 1700mhz or 2100mhz frequencies. Are there any phones at BB that would work on the wind network ?? Thanks for the replies so far guys, great website!

Hey guys, I noticed that it's hard to get a list of the phones that actually DO work. So I took the time to compile a list for everyone.
You can find it here Here

Hope that you like it, will do my best to keep it updated!

Mobi/Wind/Videotron/T-Mobile (and no one in Can/US) support 2100. 2100 is Europe and Japan.
We only support 1700mhz... thus never look for a 2100mhz phone, as it'll be pointless here in Canada.

2961883's list ...
SE Xperia X10i.
HTC Panache / Glacier / MyTouch 4G/Slide, My Tough 3G/Slide
and more.
No, I do NOT have any Z10's or Z30's left for sale. Stop PM'ing me!

It should be pointed out that while that list is correct, many of those phones are AWS versions, so for example, not all Blackberry 9900s will work on Wind, only a specific AWS 9900 will work on Wind. There are multiple versions of the same phones sometimes.

The Google Nexus S is one such phone. The Rogers/Telus/Bell version is different from the Mobilicity/Wind version.

/edit/ Basically, look for the phone frequency to say 1700/2100 MHz. The unfortunate thing is that not all sellers mention this even if the phone has it, as the greater proportion are looking for plain old GSM phones.

Caveat... even IF the phone specs say 1700/2100 AWS or if it is capable of penta-band 3G, firmware may block certain aspects of the phone..

Case in point, the Nokia X7... specs show it being penta-band, people in the USA bought the European X7 and were able to use it on both AT&T and T-Mobile 3G so it's assumed the Rogers X7 can work with Wind/Mobilicity if unlocked as well, but it doesn't.

The European X7 has RM-707 firmware while Canada has RM-659, functionality differs between the two and you can't flash the Rogers X7 with RM-707 to make it work.

Stupid Rogers.

Are Wind and Mobi phones compatible with each other's networks if unlocked?
