I'm going back to Cali, rising, surprising, Advising realizing, she's sizing me up - Her bikini - small; heels - tall - She said, she liked, the ocean
She showed me a beach, gave me a peach - and pulled out the suntan lotion

you're better off converting to B&W yourself, using their printer profile (I print at costco so i use theirs) to tune it to your liking, then send it off.

Shoppers, Wal-Mart.
It's better to let their machine do any changes (colour to b/w, cropping etc). So if they are colour images, just submit them as colour and select B&W prints
What you see on your monitor may NOT be what you get in print, so fine tuning pictures on your PC may be dissapointing.

It's rare to find an online service that will give you "true" B&W prints (on B&W paper) from a digital source. There are labs that do it, but it's a niche process still.
If your images are truly B&W (neutral colour) they will print as such on any decently calibrated minilab printer.
