I think its one of those centipede type bugs which are usually found in the dark basements. If you turn on the light, they run away pretty fast. It's creepy...

Is this a baby cockroach or just a bug?
Best pic I got of it. Anyone know if this is a baby cockroach or just a bug?

Jul 1st, 2006 11:08 PM #11LMAO! But darn, I found one of those in my basement [not translucent] the other day, and I have never ever seen one of those in my house before. {Reddish/brown silverfish.} I was sooooo creeped out [my cat was going to eat it] that I got my 9 year old son to come and get it. I'm used to seeing carpet beetles and their ugly larvae from time to time [stupid beasts] but the silverfish is pre-historic and utterly creepy. Did I mention how creepy they look? Especially when they slither/crawl/slime/writhe around on the ground.

I'm going to agree with the other posters, it looks like a Silverfish. They like damp areas such as washrooms, hallways without a/c, etc.. and are ugly as hell. Other than that, I don't know much about them.
