Hi- need to buy shoes for my 4.5 yo daughter and while we usually go cross border shopping we have a newborn now as well so a bit tricky. Any suggestions on where to get good footwear at a reasonable price? We usually buy from kiddie kobbler olly or such stores but getting pricey! We like stride rite and Geox brands as she has a narrow feet and hard to fit!

there is a geox outlet at Heartland Town centre. Winners usually has some stride rite and geox on their shelves, so check there too.

Kiddie Kobbler in the Oakville mall had a 50% off sale running for a few weeks. We bought some Stride Rite and Geox from them and some new balance.
Give them a call and see if they have much left.

I used to buy Geox exclusively. They'd have a couple sales per year where everything was 50% off making many models $30-$35. In the last 2 years, finding any Geox for under $50 even on sale or at the outlets is impossible. Shame because they are by far the most durable shoes my kids ever had. They actually outgrow them before the destroy them as they've done with every other brand.

Look for Keens. You haven't seen durable until you've tried Keens.

Hello all, I am also looking for less pricey options for good, durable shoes for a 4-year-old for this September!
To raise the bar a bit, my daughter's school requires black and non-running shoes. I saw some nice ones at the Geox store but they are expensive! Any suggestions in the GTA area? Thank you in advance.

Believe it or not, I've been able to buy decent children's shoes at Winners. They don't have everything and you have to go on a good day where there is some selection, but the prices are good. I've bought mens and ladies Geox shoes there in the past. Being so close to "back to school", not sure how crazy it will be or whether the selection will be limited.

Also, I just remembered why I don't go there more often with my dd. They have these long, winding lineups that are surrounded by all kinds of temptations. I'd better get prepared with my own goodies if deciding to venture there!

If you're in the west end, Softmocs just opened a warehouse in Mississauga and it's 4x bigger and much neater than the one in Whitby. We just went this past weekend and let's just say we're set for the next 2 years.
