Backdoor Bifrose Trojan. Can NOT get rid of it. Sucking bandwidth and personal info!
Hi there...
I have been trying to remove the Backdoor.Bifrose Trojan for a while but it keeps coming back. I have Adaware, SpyBot S&D, Adwatch enabled, Trend Micro, etc. I tried logging into safemode. Everytime it deletes the virus, it comes back again.
Please help. I know its consuming my upload bandwidth for my personal information.
thanks a million.

Try nod32 the virus program, it removes virus very effectively imo. if not then i guess the only choice u got is to reformat.

Definitely suggest to backup your data/reformat/re-install. Once you have done that install all the apps you want and then do an "image" of the drive (i.e. if you have a partition for Windows/your utilties only and another for data and another for "backup").
I implemented this system last year and it has saved me a lot of time/hassle and kept my computer clean. I saw one guy posted on here that he doesn't even bother with a virus scanner and just restores the image every 6 months.

Have you disabled System Restore when removing it?
See details on process for removing it here:
http://www.symantec.com/security_res...358-99&tabid=3
If you don't disable System Restore, the virus just restores itself from there.
