I'm looking for really light and flexible gloves for ball hockey, gloves that have padding on the outside but little to none on the palm side. I know of brands such as d-gel or acacia.

Hmmm, if you're ever on the east end of the GTA, National Sport Outlet in Pickering has(had?) tons of these last time I was there, IIRC they were about $10 each and had quite a bit of selection. It wasn't in the hockey section but in the small lacrosse section near the golf section. They have a $10 off $25 coupon, you could pick up 2-3 pairs for around $10 each after taxes I suppose.
