During last years enviornment day I bought a bamboo shirt and just love how comfty it is. Since than have been looking for more bamboo clothing, bedding ect.
Anyone know any good stores or places that sell? Know of a few online places but was hoping there might be a stor front somewhere in Ontario (which hopefully has a semi decent selection).
Also for anyone looking for a good deal would advise searching for shirts of bamboo on google. Free shipping if you find them though google

I remember costco having some bamboo shirts a few months back. I bought some and love them. Very soft.

When I think of bamboo clothing, it's funny. I think of hard bamboo shoots.
It must be pretty expensive stuff as it's not that common._______________

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent." - US President, Calvin Coolidge

The Bay has a line of eco-stuff that has bamboo. Most of it (sheets, etc) I recall is 40% bamboo blended with cotton (and other 100% Organic Cotton stuff.) I quite like the sheets I got (one of those 50% off sales.) The prices looked about the same as their normal stuff.
I've noticed Sears carries a good selection of McGregor bamboo blend socks. For shirts, I've ordered online, and been happy with what I've gotten. But their stock seems to be the standard Chinese supplier items.
I like the comfort, but if you're going for eco-ness, make sure you get spun bamboo, not rayon bamboo, as the latter is truly as horrid for the environment as any other rayon process.

I find this thread interesting because I would never imagine clothing made from bamboo to be soft! For people who have some wow durable is it? Doe si thold its color well?
Normally I am somewhat cynical of "green" bamboo applications such as bamboo flooring, because the stuff has to be shipped so far across the world it cancels out any environmental savings vs. locally harvested wood.
However, all material in clothes nowadays comes from overseas - so this would probably be much more friendly overall!

I buy my husband bamboo socks from Giant Tiger. They are so soft and he loves them! Doesn't make his feet stinky either. Inexpensive too.
I've seen bamboo clothing at Wal-Mart too.

The nice thing is that bamboo is essentially a crop, whereas forests are "renewable" but take far more long term management to appropriate use.
International "shipping" is actually not too bad, environmentally. All things else being equal it's better not to transport transglobal, but large container ships (and to a lesser extent rail) have a very good per-kilogram-mile energy footprint.

I think I've also seen bamboo sheets at Home Outfitters.....they are really soft. I saw a lot of websites that sell bamboo baby and kids clothes - but haven't seen any that sell adult clothing. I have sensitive skin so I tried to order a Large Tshirt in a kids size and it fits me....I love it and it's really soft and comfy...my SO wants one now too but they don't have anything larger. I ordered from this site http://www.boodabellie.com, it says that the clothes are made in Canada which is also good.

I actually found a couple of bamboo shirts at Winners (button down short sleeve...not T-shirts) and they are probably my favourite shirts I now own. I'll be heading back to try and find some more soon...I think one cost me $20 and one was $30 (bamboo and silk blend).
I know of them was called BambuYou but I can't seem to find them for sale even online right now.

I have a pair of boxers that are made from bamboo, they seem durable so far and they are quite comfortable.

I've had a few bamboo shirts for over a year and I wear them constantly.
They are very durable and hold their colour
