Bank fees for Scotiabank
I just noticed that for the past few months, my bank fees have been around $20! I have a scotia power chequing account.
Is there another option I can switch to to save money? Its a saving and spending account.

You can look here for a list of all the accounts.

The Scotia One account is half of what you are paying for unlimited transactions.

$20/month for a chequings account is alot! Did you know they waive the account fees if you maintain a balance of $2000 or more in your Chequing account ? That might be an option for you.
However, the Power Chequing Account pays virtually no interest. If you want to earn more interest its better to put your money in their Power Savings Account. The interest rate differential is approx. 1% right now.
Alternatively you could open an account with Ally or another CDIC insured bank for higher interest rates.

Tell them you are pissed off at their fees and are considering taking your business elsewhere. Might get no fees for a year. Their fees drove me away from them years ago.
