When I was 17, I had a RBC and a TD Bank account... both without my parents cosigning.

bank information.
well i am 17 i wanted to open a bank but i dont want to ask parents so i wanted to know what bank i can do this at? i know TD, Royal bank, CIBC, BOM, dont let you so anyone know one i can do it at?

If you do not have a drivers licence or passport you may find it difficult to open up an account.
Picture IDs are a requirement nowadays at banks.

thats funny i called TD today and they said you need parents so i dont know, ill just drive there and ask them in person, i mean whats the big deal? anyways one of my friends said national bank anyone heard of them?

the big deal is that contracts can't be enforced for ppl under the age of majority.

Back when I was in grade 11, I went to Scotia Bank and got the "Getting there Savings" account here
I just brought my birth certificate, piece of mail, student card, and I got an account right on the spot (by myself) after filling some papers.
