I think the best way you could find out this information is going up to the teller @ help/service desk and asking. I tried calling TD and asking for the bank institution #, transit # etc....to sign up for paypal...But the lady just gave me mumbo jumbo long sentences read from a book crap, then hung up on me. TD sucks.

Ask to sign up for direct deposit, they will give you some paper, and in it includes all that bank transit # etc. You dont have to give it to your employer :)

If you have a chequing account the institution number would be on the cheque, otherwise you should probably contact someone at Vancity.

Then that should be it, why do you want this # anyways?
Best way to find all those information #'s is to ask to do direct deposit, then just use those #'s to set up paypal or whatever.

Maybe you're confusing institution number with branch number?

Ok the routing number is 9 digits.. Vancity is 809 and you have to look up your branch here. https://www.vancity.com/ContactUs/FindBranchATM/

Then you look up on the right Branch Details and you will see the address branch and transit number.

This number will likely be only 5 digits so you have 3 and 5 is 8. But to install Quickbooks for example you need 9 so add a 0 here 809 0 16310

Change the 16310 to represent your branch...

Best of luck.
