I want to know is it ok to store cardboard boxes in cold storage. Or food item which comes in paper bags like cookie boxes, flour etc etc.

Also can I put the cardboard on the floor of basement so that i don't feel cold. I doubt if it absorbs humidity from floor and insects can grow in it.
