yeah okay, every game is shipped with bugs.
but it's the severity of these bugs that EA decides to ship games with. we're not talking about minor clipping in the graphics issues or an error in the damage calculation. I mean a major server bug? come on! that's like forgetting to put guns in the game.
I'm sure the QA people found the bug. It's probably jsut the devs who just choose to ship the game hoping the bug won't manifest itself.

Again, it's not something that just EA is guilty of.
There's plenty of online games that have been nearly unplayable until a server patch was applied early on. Did you ever see the World of Warcraft launch ?
With PC products especially, in a lot of cases, rather than fix a bug at the end of the product cycle and miss the launch date, they send to manufacturing and use the time before product retail launch to patch it.
The patch came out on release day anyway. It's not like you can buy the game and find you can't play the game - the patch is available already.

its not just the bugs that frustrates us most
its also that EA is clearly out for money grabbing
every expansion pack and so on for BF2 have been lacking in depth and all the incentives for buying them is just that u get advantage of newer unlocks and some new maps over other players
thats nothing a mod cant fix
in fact, i have played free mods for BF2 that are better than expansion packs sold by EA
and the bug problem isnt just limited to the release of the game, EA has been introducing more and more bugs for BF2 through all of its patches
and it takes them like 5 months just to fix a simple problem
and the reason for all these problems is because EA and DICE are always making newer expansion packs and games (BF2142 for example) that they keep on delaying the development of the patches
for them, productivity that leads to big profit comes first and customer satisfaction/quality assurance comes second
so all the current BF2 players got gyped with a buggy game while EA expects these same players to buy their new game
no no, i refuse to buy into that same old routine
NO BF2142 for me!

In spite of all the issues mentioned above, I'm still somewhat interested in trying the game out. That said, I can't log into EA.com, either on their website or within the 2142 demo.
Does anyone have advice on how I can resolve this?

I saw 2142 at the futureshop last week and it took all of my strength to not buy it.. I must resist!
I got the Dawn of War expansion instead, done by people who are not evil!

you're still having this problem?! You asked in another thread and I figured once the game was released it would solve your problem. To be honest, I wouldnt be surprised if your issue was just EA related. So many people have had problems with not being able to access their veterans account, or just not being able to connect through EA downloader.

It's definitely EA related, but how on Earth do I correct this?
I could make a new account to log in to ask why I can't login to my original one, but...
