Cookware is always marked up a ridiculous amount just to go on sale for a ridiculous amount for a reasonable price. Glad I saw this though, I picked up the TruClad when they were on sale for $300 mid October and are still sitting in the box while I finish my kitchen renos, going to take them back tomorrow to get the wok, might just give The Bay a call and see if I can just go in with my receipt to pick up the free wok or if I have to actually go through the whole return process.

Any reviews on this set?

My wife wants to retire our Langostina set with the black handles but she also mentioned that the steel handles like these will get hot?

I know their knives are good but cookware?

Amazon reviews seem pretty positive.

So tempted with the truclad set....

Just picked them up this morning at Carrefour Laval, had quite a few sets available, unfortunately wasn't able to just pick up the wok as it comes in a different box with it so I'll be returning my other set later today. Their cookware is great, the TruClad especially as it's tri-ply so you get consistent heat throughout as opposed to disc bottom sets. And from an ergonomic perspective, the Truclad handles are about as good as it gets. These sets tend to go fast when they go on sale and I don't imagine today being any different.

And as for the handles getting hot, they don't.

I don't see why it should, each company has their own quality control. Not everything made in China is of lesser quality.

I own a set of these. The handles never get hot on the stove. I put them in the oven for steaks once in a while. They work really well but like all steel pots and pans they can get dirty and be rather difficult to clean.

Any reviews on this set?
