[Best Buy] BB: Crucial BX100 500GB SSD $207.28 w/PM (YMMV?)

Best Buy has the Crucial BX100 for $269.99: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/cru ... 0639fden02

Price match Direct Canada (@ $212.98) for a total of $207.28 plus tax. Not the lowest price, but good.

Direct Canada lists quantity, so they may try to deny the PM on 'limited quantity' grounds, but it's worth a shot.

That is a BS excuse and yes, they are known to use it. Just tell them BestBuy also list the their stock quantity as well so does that mean it is limited stock?

I might be misreading something but there are a few things wrong with this post:

1. You can PM Amazon.ca that has it for $200.50
2. OR you can get the newer MX300 from Amazon.ca as well for $168.99 + FS.

I think there are cheaper SSDs as well for the same capacity, but if you're sticking to the Crucial brand this is what I see.

Just some quick info for those who are interested in price projections:
lincoln wrote: The MX300 is Micron's Gen 1 3D TLC NAND. While it offers a decent cost reduction from the traditional Planar Nand, it's performance suffers a little bit.

The recent information is that Micron has bumped their Gen 2 3D TLC ahead of schedule and it's due out in Q1 2017 instead of Q2. The Gen 2 will offer a 30% cost reduction over Gen 1 and will offer a substantial performance and reliability improvement over even traditional MLC NAND drives.

After we see an increase in DRAM memory prices leading up until christmas, expect a pretty big drop in prices come March 2017. NAND will slowly decline throughout 2016 and drop even quicker in 2017.
