Tempting since I'm looking for a 50"+ tv.
Here is a review for those considering:
http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-t...g=content;col1
According to the review the tv produces a 240 Hz effect and doesnt deserve the designation of being a "true 240 Hz" tv.
The black levels are also an issue with the tv and it has a glossy screen for those who care.

BB: Deal of the Day, Toshiba 55" 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV** (55ZV650U) for $1599
Did a brief search and didn't find it, I believe I'm the first one to post it
slight benefit of staying up late.
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/prodde...Y_hmpg1_slide1
Bestbuy has the Toshiba 55" 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV** (55ZV650U) for $1599.99. I believe this is a good price especially if the $100 coupon is still floating around. Too bad I cannot afford it at the moment, being looking for a > 50" tv so I can move my 42" 720p samsung into my bedroom.
good luck,

I am leaning towards the samsung because it cost me only 200 dollars more i got it at FS vip event 1799.
also i think the B750 is best CCFL LCD juding by the reviews on the net
and the screen size of 55" not really significant to me because 52" is already more than enough for my room size.
read this which explains it all!

This is a crazy deal - I have the 42" model and it's been a super buy so far and doesn't have any of the HDMI audio or 1080p jitter issues of the LG or Samsung 120/240 Hz TVs I've tried out.
I don't know where all these "bad reviews" are coming from (other outlets like CNET, which just test the vanilla LCD with no options enabled - and the REGZA 240Hz has one of the best video processors available + 10-bit panel) as the user reviews have been excellent.
For those interested, I'd recommend hitting BB and looking for yourself.

I've been holding off for a long time, basically waiting for BD, but I can't pass on this. Imho it's not going to get any cheaper in the near future including BD deals. Thank you very much OP, I did not expect to be buying a TV today!

Got this TV 3 months back for 2000 $. be careful of dead pixels i had about 5 pixels stuck on red/blue, called toshiba they want about 20 dead pixels at minimum for warranty to kick in. i had to wait about 4 weeks to get it exchanged from BB as it was not in stock.
took my laptop to the BB and tested the replacement before taking it home.
in short be careful.
