There is very little stuff that I havent seen gone equal or lower than the sale items.
This year's a joke.
But the worst is not what your thinking. The worst is that people are still going to line up and buy the crap and then come here and whine in early next year when the prices go down even more.

BB & FS deals suck and do you know what is going to be worse.........
Disregarding the fact that there is going to be a fairly sort lineup due to the generally low appeal of the specials and the fact that most of them have been on sale for that price or lower previously in the year..
We are going to be bomabarded everywhere in the news about how we are in a depression because the sales are down blah blah
Note to Future Shop Best Buy Conglomerate:
Just cause you put boxing day stickers over crap doesn't change the fact that it is crap to begin with and people will not want to buy it.
im going after a propane heater (for ice shanty) and crappy tire and that is about it this year, disregarding money (purchased DSLR and Snowblower plus lots of other stuff last year)
im pissed off_______________

If you don't want to buy that product, why would you care if they put a boxing day sale price on it ?
I've never lined up for any boxing day sale things for electronics. Because one thing is guaranteed, a few days/weeks/months later, that very same thing will cost LOWER than the boxing day sale price.
Almost all electronics come down in price. TVs, MP3 players, cameras, etc.

i hope nobody heads over flyer unseen (which im sure will happen) boxing day is about picking up excellent deals while the retailers make a name for themselves while you are in there. Boxing day is not a a day to get spoon fed Grade D Crap
as for the electronics up until this boxing day (Rebel Xs for $449) nothing had even matched my rebel xt w/lens for $399 for boxing day but other than that your right
btw Logitec 5.1 Surround Sound System $49.99 last year all day long (no sold out's) this year $69.99 bull $hit
im going to check out boxing day 2007 flyer's and see if i would buy something if that was this years to even further extend my rant_______________

I think the Xbox 360 deals aren't bad, but as a whole, it does seem past years BD were better.

You make it sound like retailers owe you a good deal or something just because. Yeah, the sheep will still go out and buy that TV that's only $100 off instead of the $300 off you expect it to be. Why do you care? Retailers make their money off of the sheep so savvy consumers like you can PM, take advantage of price errors and generous return policies so you can save $10.
I know this is RFD, but c'mon. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to save a little money this year? If your job is in jeopardy, the last thing you should be worried about is buying that new SLR to replace the one you already have.

+1 many of the mis informed people maybe think that wat is shown in the flyer is an excellent deal. For example, an item at regular price is $80, the store might jack up the price before hand or ever claim that its worth more than its regular price, and creating the fact that there is a greater savings.

Even if Im not going to buy anything, I might still drive by the lines and laugh my a** off all those people that think they are getting uber super special awsome boxing day shizzle fried with cheese and butter deals.
j/k
But when you see a product for 100$ for a full year and then suddenly the price of the product is 300$ a week before boxing day and on boxing day they put the price back down to 100$ with a little sign that says "save 200$" people are are gonna make sure that they get it by lining up at 3am.

The TVs seem decent though. I haven't seen the 46" W4100 for less than $1499.99 before. It's usually $1699.99 isn't it? It's about $200 off. Nothing major, but better than usual. Not worth lining up over.

The reason that people are whining is that when you see something for 100$ in sales here and there during all year long and then on boxing day its 200$ with a sign that says "save 100$" its not impressive when you still pay the 100$ for the product. Let alone the tricks some stuff advertised as specials is actually at regular or very near regular prices.
The FS and BB flyer aslo shocked many. I thought it was a joke at first.Dead serious.

We're only a small handful of people that waste time browsing this board. A larger majority of people have no idea of current, past and future prices of things. Boxing Day is a Canadian institution. People will line up regardless for the thrill, fun and tradition of it regardless of the price.
I was just down in the US for Black Friday. I knew in advance all the sales were terrible but the lineups were longer than last year. They buy because they're there. Retailers now know this. Best Buy is the best at keeping prices higher than their competitor. They understand the market, prices, buying trends and demand better than anyone else. Putting out a flyer in advance to wet our mouths will have many opening their wallets on Friday.
