Can anyone help me out? When I'm playing PS3, the screen keeps dimming automatically most of the time, then brightening sometimes. Is it something wrong with my HDMI cable, the tv itself, or is there a setting for this?
There is an Insignia forum that you could post in if this doesn't solve your problem

Bought this last night to use as a monitor and TV, and it looks terrible hooked up to the PC. The colours are washed out and the resolution looks really bad and soft. Worse than my old fat monitor. The scaling is set to 1:1 in my video card settings too. Anyone else have issues connected over HDMI? I'm thinking of trying VGA to see if the quality improves. Oh and I have 2 stuck pixels. Not impressed!

Again, this Insignia is a TV and not a monitor. It can be used a a monitor but the quality is worse than any regular 24" monitor.
If you're after a 24" monitor, take your pick at NCIX Wednesday sale and there will be a few well under $150...some even tie this Insignia at $130.
The beauty about being a TV is the ATSC tuner for OTA and speakers for HDMI sound. Some may find the array of various inputs useful.

I have the 39" LED and I turned off the "Dynamic Backlight DCR" settings (In advanced picture settings) it adjusts contrast between light and dark.
Hope this helps!

Haven't bought the TV yet. Was hoping the usb port could be used for watching movies.

I hooked up the dual out on my receiver, one to plasma, one to this Insignia and ran the calibration video again.

To my surprise, it only lost one bar of black compared to the calibrated plasma. I am using the standard THEATER setting on the Insignia.

Not sure why this first time I screwed up.

Bought it dec24th boxing day online sale from BB, same price $129(noticed that it was actually more expensive on Boxing day, something like $149), so used it for a month now. I used it as a monitor, hooked up with HDMI(video card is HD6670).

The only thing that I don't like is the color, this TV is side by side with my 6 yrs old 19" dell monitor, and I like the color on my old monitor better. I wouldn't quite say the color on this one is washed out, but it just seem less vibrant to me, tried adjusting the settings on the tv and on the ATI CCC thing, just couldn't get the way I like. That was my only issue with this one, and I don't really mind it that much, everything else seems okay.

Also, tried watching tv OTA using an old antenna, only got one channel at 720p, looks very sharp, I have no complain about the color when watching the tv channel. For those of you who plan to get it and used it as a monitor, keep in mind that when you turn off the computer, and if you don't manually turn off the tv, it will auto shut off when there is no signal, which is a good thing, but when you turn on your computer again, you have to press the power on for the tv, not really a big issue, but of course I like regular monitor when they just power off(or standby) and power on itself when you turn on the computer.
