I have a NEX-C3 /w Pancake lens to replace my point and shoot for the last 2 years or so. Amazing camera. I'd imagine the 5R is just the same, but better.

There's rumours that the new kit lens will be the 16-50mm from the Nex 6 sometime after the lens is released. Could be why these are being cleared out...

The NEX-5n is a pretty huge upgrade from the original NEX-3 you have, and the 5R is even newer so I would presume even better.

I found a mint NEX-7 with kit lens and over a year of warranty left for $650 on Kijiji. Huge score!
